A beautiful venue and gourmet experience

Did you know that L'Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls has a beautiful garden area, enriched with beautiful flowers, fountains and gazebos where you can have a beautiful ceremony for up to 70?

I had the pleasure today of taking a tour and sampling a 5 course meal and learned of their three rooms which can be used for a sit down afternoon wedding that can accommdate 70 people. The restaurant is very quaint and also lends itself for rehearsal dinners, showers, cooking demonstrations, anniversary parties or corporate functions. The food of course was absolutely devine and the service excellent.

If you are looking to host a small wedding or party, L'Auberge would be a very nice place.  Do check it out!

First Dance meant so much more...

by Myrna 18. August 2010 10:13

My beautiful couple Alan and Melissa who married on August 7th had their reception at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria. They did something a bit different which I thought worked very well.  Instead of them doing their first dance as soon as they entered the ballroom, they chose to do the Father-daughter dance, then the Mother-son dance, then their first dance as husband and wife.  This symbolized them leaving their parents who had given their blessings and now, their first dance meant so much more.  I thought it was a lovely sentiment, and it was an extra honmor to their parents.

Wishing Alan and Melissa a beautiful life together.

A Beautiful August Wedding

I had the pleasure of planning  Ellie and Mike's wedding last weekend at the  Omni Shoreham Hotel.  The ceremony was a first for me, in the bride's Catholic church where they were so gracious to allow a Huppah to be shared at the pulpit for the couple's interfaith wedding.  It was a beautiful and memorable ceremony.  Korean tradition was then celebrated at a Paebaek Cermony at he hotel followed by a festive reception of wonderful food, and a great dancing crowd.

Thanks to all the vendors who helped Ellie and Mike to have a wonderful time: William Grace and his wonderful staff at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, DC, Onyx Band, Edibles Incredible Bakery for the delicious cake and Chris of Suburban Video, Cj Jung of Memories in a Moment Photograph, and Abes Transportaion with a special thanks to Leila and Mona for all their expertise..

All our best wishes to Ellie and Mike for a lifetime of happiness!

I apologize for not blogging on a weekly basis.  I do not know where the weeks are going during this 2010 wedding season.  My team and I have been busy assisting so many wonderful couples on their wedding days.  We have been to Nashville for a destination wedding, to the Park Hyatt in DC, Airlie Conference Centre in Warrenton, Top of the Town in Arlington to name a few.  We have had the privledge of working with wonderful vendors who helped make our client's feel special.  We at For All Occasions thank our colleagues and clients for working with us as a team so together we always produce fabulous events! Kudos to all of you.

Wedding Tip

by Myrna 7. August 2010 04:06

It is not such a good idea to have your bachelor party two days before your wedding.  Things do happen when you are partying hardy!  Just ask my groom for this weekend...somehow his foot went through a glass window...ouch!  His shoe boot and cane will add some color to his wedding photography, though.

We still wish the happy couple a wonderful wedding day and a lifetime of happiness.
